Episode 34: Speaking Glibly on Studio Ghibli (part 1)
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Recorded some time ago, Muz couldn’t join us for this one, so Fikri dragged a colleague of his, Wina, to join him in this long-planned discussion on the films of Studio Ghibli! With reports that the company might shut down for good, they discuss their favourite films of Hayao Miyazaki and co. They rambled on, though, so this is only the first of a two-part session that will continue this weekend, on the world’s only film podcast to mix Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia and English! (but it’s largely in English, though…)

Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Another episode, and another set of ramblings to get through! This time, with Diaz still hanging around, we cover movies old and new, retracing memories and comparing the past and the present. And other stuff. We think. Anyways, check out the world’s only film podcast to be (largely) done in Bahasa Malaysia!

Fikri is still in Jakarta, Muz is still in KL and Diaz is still in the show. This episode looks at the 26th Malaysian Film Festival, old movies, old movies on Youtube, old movies that shamelessly ripped each other off and movies that these guys had watched. Episode 31: The Social Media and Films Edition
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
When we first started out, it was supposed to be like 10 episodes, then 15, then 20 but now we’re releasing the 31st episode and still going strong, ladies and gentlemen! To commemorate the journey of our podcast, we bring back our first guest who appeared in some of the earliest episodes, Mr. Diaz Hernawan. We catch up with Diaz after a year back in Jakarta, and look at his foray into social media entertainment and the impact of social media as a whole. All this and more on the only podcast in Bahasa Malaysia that conquer the first three spots in Google when you search ‘malaysia film podcast’!

Episode 30: The Scripted Unscripted Show About Dead People
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
The landmark 30th episode runs the risk of Muz throwing his phone out of frustration over connection issues, so let’s get this brief episode out of the way! After planning to do an unscripted show, the boys eventually settled into a pattern of talking about filmmakers and actors who have recently left us, with Robin Williams, Richard Attenborough, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Martias Mohd Ali all getting a mention one way or another. Respect to all of them, and may they rest in peace.

Episode 29: The South China Sea Podcast Show
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Boys and girls, the boys are back in town! Well, they’re not in the same town…but, you know what they mean. They’re here for their 29th episode as well, even if they kept referring to it as their 28th episode, but…again, you know what they mean. No worries there, then, as Fikri and Muz tucks into the latest news and views from in and around the Malaysian scene, though there’s something from beyond that as well, but…you can cut them some slack, can you? After all, it’s only the latest episode from the world’s only film podcast to be recorded in Bahasa Malaysia in different countries!

Episode 28: The Vikings Are Here!
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Ladies and gentlemen, we’re back after a bit of a hiatus! This will be something of a special episode, featuring a panel discussion held at FINAS sometime ago on the film ‘Vikingdom’. Our very own Fikri was called in to moderate the session, and it features the film’s producer Norman Abdul Halim, KRU Studios’ Archie Nasution and Roslen Hashim from Harian Metro. The episode runs for over an hour, so we hope you’ll be in for some good times. We’ll be back soon as per usual, but until then, we wish each and everyone of you Selamat Hari Raya and happy holidays from the world’s only film podcast to be done in Bahasa Malaysia!

Episode 27: An Inner View with Maz Irwan Azani (part 2)
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
So we took a longer break than expected, because…one of us is a daddy! Congrats to Fikri, and welcome baby Jayken! Anyways, back to business. Apparently you can’t have a podcast with Maz and keep it under an hour. This continuation from a session with Maz Irwan Azani brings us to look at his view, his opinions and his thoughts (aren’t they the same thing?) on our local film scene. All these and more in the one and only film podcast to be recorded in Bahasa Malaysia!

Episode 26 : An Inner View with Maz Irwan Azani (Part 1)
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce our good friend, Maz Irwan Azani! Some call him Maz, others call him Irwan, but we’ve collaborated with him since the early days of our friendship and it is an honour for us to have him as our guest. In the first of this two-part interview, we’ll be looking into the beginning of his foray into filmmaking, from a humble beginning at Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) to becoming an undergraduate at the Korea National University of Arts (K-ARTS). All this and more on the only film podcast in Bahasa Malaysia in the world to interview all their friends! (sooner or later)

Episode 25: Tits and Bits of Malaysian Cinema
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Sunday Jan 19, 2020
Previously, we banged on about news from Hollywood, so it’s only more than fair to give just as much attention to the goings on in the Malaysian film industry in this episode. From top to bottom, from the sad to the sweet, it’s all here as Fikri and Muz sat down, hit record and hammered out the world’s only film podcast to be locked in their own studio (seriously)!
